We’ve teamed up with the Japanese sports company and have a pair of their Mizuno Wave Hitogami racers up for grabs

Mizuno have recently added the Wave Hitogami racing flat to their offerings and to celebrate we’ve teamed up with the Japanese sports company to give AW readers the chance to win a pair!

Wave Hitogami gets its inspiration from Japanese Kabuki theatre and refers to a person with supernatural power – a human god. In this tradition, the characters can do the impossible because they have summoned this shamanic possession.

The new shoe combines the features from the Wave Ronin and Wave Musha, as well as introduces Mizuno’s latest cushioning technology, the U4iC (pronounced ‘euphoric’) midsole.

A rubber platform in the forefoot is designed to provide a responsive ride, while the new radius on the lateral side of shoe has been created to offer a smooth ride from heel to toe.

The Wave Hitogami retails at £85 but one lucky reader could get their feet on a pair for free. Simply send the correct answer to the below question along with your contact telephone number, email address and shoe size to officemanager@athleticsweekly.com by midnight on Sunday April 6, 2014, for your chance to win.

Q. What is the name of Mizuno’s new midsole cushioning system?

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED
