The IAAF World Challenge series moved on to Beijing on Wednesday (May 18) and you can watch highlights from the meeting below via EverSport.

Returning to winning ways and bouncing back after his false start disqualification at the Shanghai Diamond League meeting on Saturday, Aries Merritt was among those to secure victory in Beijing.

Clocking a season’s best of 13.24, the Olympic 110m hurdles champion beat China’s Xie Wenjun with 13.48. Danielle Williams won the 100m hurdles in a season’s best of 12.80.

Justin Gatlin won the 100m in 9.94 to match his winning time from Shanghai, while Murielle Ahoure dominated the women’s event and clocked 11.06 for victory. Veronica Campbell-Brown was another easy winner, clocking 22.29 to take the women’s 200m.

Kipyegon Bett just won the 800m from Erik Sowinski as both athletes clocked the same time – 1:45.80. Britain’s Michael Rimmer was third in 1:46.72. Rimmer’s fellow Briton Sophie Hitchon was fourth with a 71.71m season’s best in a hammer competition won by Zhang Wenxiu with 75.58m.

After going clear at a Syrian high jump record height of 2.34m, Majd Eddin Ghazal again improved to clear a world-leading 2.36m to go fourth on the Asian all-time list.
