TomTom will be the official wearable technology partner across the full Great Run series of events in 2016

The Great Run Company has announced a new partnership with sports technology specialists TomTom UK.

TomTom will be the official wearable technology partner across the full Great Run series of events in 2016.

Great Run, who organise the world-famous Great North Run, is now established as the world’s favourite run with over 280,000 participants a year taking part. The events programme stretches across the UK from Glasgow to Portsmouth offering a full range of distances from 5km through to a marathon team relay.

As part of the agreement with TomTom, Great Run participants will have the opportunity to trial TomTom’s extensive product range to help improve their performance and general fitness.

Under the deal, TomTom will have a presence at all Great Run events over 2016.

TomTom joins a wide range of sponsors who support the Great Run series including Puma, Lucozade, Virgin Trains and 9Bar.
