You could join the Ethiopian long distance great as he crosses the 10km start line in his final competitive race

Organisers of the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run are giving runners the chance to start the 10km event with Haile Gebrselassie as the Ethiopian long distance great takes on his last competitive race.

Gebrselassie has said it will be “quite an emotional day” as he bids farewell to competitive running in Glasgow on October 4 and race organisers are holding a competition searching for 10 people to join the 42-year-old on the 10km start line.

If you would like to meet Gebrselassie and start the event with him, all you have to do is tell The Great Run Company what question you would most like to ask the man himself.

Perhaps about his win at the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run in 2013, or maybe you’d ask him for some expert training tips?

Whatever your burning question would be, they want to hear it!

Email your question, along with your full name, age and hometown, to startwithhaile@greatscottishrun.com by 5pm on Friday September 25, 2015, to be in with a chance of winning this once in a lifetime opportunity.
