About the role

To provide support to the editorial team and assist in the smooth running of Athletics Weekly magazine, website and social media. To write lively and accurate copy with a particular focus on news. To assist with the daily upkeep of the website and to help coordinate and develop AW‘s social media activity.

Knowledge and experience

The ideal candidate would be a keen follower of athletics with a sound all-round knowledge of the sport.  While a formal qualification in journalism is not necessary, the ability to write good, clean and accurate copy is a must. Experience with using Microsoft Word; experience of InDesign and WordPress is advantageous but not required. Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
