Darien definitely looking like the best Frenchman. Kiss second and looking like a medal contender too.

Turner's through but not his greatest race but should still be in with a shout of a medal.

When is the Beeb going to stop these trackside interviews?
:?
it was clear that Sharman was upset, and said some things he'll probably regret when it's played back for him. These interviews are not helping British athletes....

That said, Sharman never really looked like making it to the final. Svoboda looked good though, and I still think Turner's in with a good shout for a medal.

Bad news: Howe of Italy has qualified in the LJ, so the Mother from Hell could be in town!

Best I've seen him jump in a while.

Great from Tomlinson.
It was fairly clear watching the heats that the patched up EF wasn't going to qualify.

Decent jump for once by Tomlinson for once.

8.20 could be worth a medal IF he can recreate it in the final.

Kate Dennison going well so far, 4.35 clear and now it's time for 4.40...

1) he hates the new false-start rule, which comes across a bit like sour grapes, after he'd just been DQ'ed. That said, he was obviously upset, so that's understandable, which is why I don't think they should do trackside interviews.

2) He blamed his falsestart on the Polish athlete twitching beside him, which is deflecting the blame from himself.

3) He said, what if Usain Bolt had DQ'ed in the DL, what then?

All said in the heat of the moment....

You just knew Lemaitre was going to close! Great run from Malcolm - hardly anyone expected a medal in the run-up.

Malcolm delivers a Silver in 20.38 - 10th behind LeMaitre....

Excellent for Malcolm! He and MLF get some reward for their work....

Lemaitre is the messiest I've ever seen! Thought Malcolm had it too, but the lean wins it.

Pleased and disappointed for him. So close...

The frenchman has so much potential, if he sorts out his technique.

I should be happy Christian got a silver..but I'm gutted.
Great run except for the dip!!
Medal prospects in the relay look better; Christian HAS to run the second bend.

I think it will be him and marlon running both bends (malcolm hopefully second)
MLF in home straight and maybe dasaolu in the back?

Gutted but Pleased for Malcolm at the same time. That last 20-30 was painful to watch. Would have been happy with silver at the start but felt gutted because he was so close to the Gold.

Tip for the women's 4x400 - think the Russians might win it. Wonder what odds I can get?

Decent 400m womens I think, Rare russian 1-2-3 this week.

49.89 is not too shabby for Firova.

Russian roulette with the bear there.
