I just noticed that Shana Cox has ran 51.97 putting her 2nd on the rankings and at the moment well clear of Sanders and McConnell and in the same meeting Joice Maduaka ran 23.25 for 200m putting her currently 2nd on the rankings ahead of Margaret Adeyoe. Maduaka still fighting for a place on the Olympic Team!!!

Yohan Blake ran 9.84 (+0.5) at the Cayman Invitational last night, apparently slowing down at the end. I believe that's the wind-corrected WL

Some of the fans do get a bit carried away and see what they want, don't they? Like you, the only slowing down I could see was after he crossed the finishing line.

What next barametric correction,cycling takes this into account.

Perhaps we could also have a throwing uphill conversion. Trials are at hilly B'ham.

While wind does tend to be the greatest single factor affecting sprint times, other than altitude at truly high venues, it certainly isn't the only one. Others include temperature, track surface (including being dry or wet) etc. Also worth bearing in mind that the wind is measured in the direction of the straight, a gale blowing at 90 degrees to the straight would give a zero wind reading but would obviously constitute a major hinderance to a sprinter.

She won't have to improve much on that performance to at least get a spot on relay squad. Amazing durability.

Not a particularly good run from Chambers even if in to a headwind (-1.9). I would have expected something around 10.2 but he does appear to have a very different training programme and trained very hard in Jamaica so let's see what happens in a few weeks time. With UKA more involved he's in safe hands

Whilst DC may not be the man of yeaterday its difficult to believe he would turn out if he was in that sort of form. I, for one, could not identify him in the pics.

Is he not the one nearest the camera? (lane 7?)

I'm not sure. The athlete in lane 7 came 5th and Chambers is down as 6th. Tyrone Edgar is in lane 1 and came 4th. There were meant to be 8 athletes in this race so maybe Chambers withdrew?

The commentator says Chambers is in lane 6, as per the startlist. The quality of the feed was poor and it was difficult to identify any athlete with confidence.

Now that he's back in the UKA fold perhaps his form has deserted him? He didn't look injured so perhaps just heavy legged after 5am starts and long training in Jamaica.

I've just seen on twitter that James Dasaolu has run 10.17 in Montgeron in France. It's really good to see him back - I hope he can stay healthy this year.

It would be a delicious irony (in my book, that is) if Chambers didn't qualify...
