Postby Kermit » Fri Apr 13, 2012 10:53 pm

Spoiled for choice this coming Sunday morning (15th April)

You can watch the Paris Marathon http://www.wiziwig.tv/broadcast.php?mat ... art=sports

OR

You can watch the Vienna Marathon featuring "The Chase". No not the TV quiz show but Haile Gebrselassie chasing Paula Radcliffe. This is can only be seen online via the official website http://www.vienna-marathon.com/

Here is a little of the low down on the event.

Paula Radcliffe will start her race at exactly 8:50:38 am on Sunday. Haile Gebrselassie then starts chasing at 8:58:30. Shortly afterwards the marathon racewill be started and the mass race will follow at 9 am. Both athletes will have two runners going together with them into the race.

Vienna is an hour ahead of GMT so should be be tuning in at 7.50am or has that time already been corrected?

Their website has a countdown clock saying the race starts in 23 and a half hours, with Paula obviously starting 10 minutes before, so it looks to me like it's 8.50am over here, as it's currently 9.30am. Someone else might know for sure though...

That's what I thought when I looked last night, I just wanted someone else to confirm it as the chance of me getting it completely wrong is pretty high :D

No Vienna is on CEST time, 7.50am in the morning here. Probably forgot to change the clock when they moved from daylight saving. (Well I hope so anyway, as that's when I'll be watching)

No live feed - what an anti-climax!
