Jones 11.06 second fastest time in the world this year behind Alyson Felix.

Maybe she can comeback but as there are no major international comps for USA this year, and she isnt popular with event orgainsers, not sure where she is going to get much international competition??

It will be interesting to see if this is still true. At the end of the day they just want bums on seats and I suspect Marion is even more of a draw now than before.

I know she is a draw - but the its hard to raise the profile of our local athletes if we bring her over here (GB) as the only thing the press will be about is Marion. Great in that it gets athletics in the news, but at the expense of local athletes and I can't imagine the press will be able to talk only about her performances without mentioning Balco etc

I'm Assuming Norwich Union, and their like, will forgo the local athletes in preference of saturation coverage, Balco or not.

Another aspect to consider is that the local athletes will still get their mention but the headline will not be about the local guys. This is not necessarily a bad thing since more people may actually read the articles and 'rediscover' athletics. While the negativity of Balco will be present in any article on Jones, isn't her story a victory against those who are skeptical of all athletes because of Balco?

The top list includes 6 athletes all within 0.06!
