Great stuff by Bleasdale to make the final with a PB; good to see Jo through too with a SB.

That was indeed a terrific run from Julia. She looks a hot prospect.

I just love the way Bleasdale runs. She runs as if she doesn't fear anyone , reputations be damned !

Did it at the Euros , in the 10000 here , and again now - goes to the front of the pack , gives it everything , and keeps getting PBs ...

Top attitude and deserves success.

Too much to ask for Jo and Julia to get top 8 placings?

Defar defeats Cheruiyot and Dibaba

And can you believe Pavey out sprints Bleasdale - 7th and 8th again. These two are two of the best British performers of the Games :D

Not at all :)

Seventh and eighth ...only Ethiopians and Kenyans in front. Excellent doubles from both of them :D

Defar outstanding

Congrats to Jo and Julia . They should be mighty proud. Makes you wonder what Jo would've done in the marathon?

Weirdly, the marathon seems to have been her second choice - twice now she's commented on how she wanted to run in the stadium

Glad she's doing another marathon in the autumn - she's clearly strong and now has a bit of speed in her legs too - PB needs revising!

Horray for Meseret. And what an awesome top three.

Horray also for Jo and Julia.
Loved Julia's obvious impatience to progress from best-of-the-rest to just plane best.
