Can i just say re Ennis , that i read she was doing one more Lj and a Jav after the trials. whilst i think that is wise, i also think a HJ wouldn't go a miss. Conditions were poor at Birmingham but she never looked like doing 1.92.

She has to nail at least 1.89 and hopefully get 1.92 in London. I still maintain the HJ has played as much a contributionto her losses in Deagu and istanbul as the Jav and LJ did respectively.

I am sure team ennis know what they are doing though> she looks inamazing shape.

Haven't seen the official results from Stettin (Can't spell the Polish name), but yep, Steve Lewis has confirmed it on Twitter.

I'm really happy for him. He's been very close to 5.80 on a couple of occasions this year, indoors and out so it's not a surprise. Onwards and upwards indeed! Third UK record from Pfaff-coached athletes so far this year ... We know after Helsinki what it's going to take to win medals (5.90+ by the looks of things), but to have someone in the final of a technical event is great.

Steve Hooker jumped 5.72 as well in the same comp, which is his best jump for a while. I hope he's getting his mojo back.
