A mixed bag. Some of the fields not particularly strong.

Nice to see Sanders getting back in the best races again. Hopefully an A standard run tonight. 52.3 to 51.5 perhaps a bit too much of a stretch in one race? Lane 1 as well.

Ive noticed Allyson Felix and Sally Pearson are steering clear of races atm.

Lots of Brits everywhere though, the agents must be working overtime...

There has always been a cordial relationship between Oslo and British athletics. MLF and Marlon Devonish go in the main 100m and others of similar quality appear in a number of events. Having said that I am hoping they start to raise their game and at least move towards the 'A' standard.

As someone said it's a mixed bag but should still be an interesting meet.

Oslo's always been a favourite of mine. I think because New York is on Saturday, the fields are split.

I'm really interested to see how some of the Brits who've shown good early form in the States get on tonight.

Looks like a great meet. Positive outcomes for teh Brits would be:

Nicola Sanders running 51.5 (although doubtful from Lane 1, and on current form!)
New BR for Proctor jumping 6.90+
Great to see Abi Oyepitan in the top flight again; 11.2 and 22.8 would be great to see.
No disrespect, but it does surprise me how the likes of Montell Douglas, MLF and Marlon Devonish get invited to race based on current form and the latter twio to race against Usain Bolt.
Would love to see Steph Twekll get the A, just not sure if she has missed to much training to get there.
Elish McColgan to post around 9.35-9.40.
Jack and Dai Green/e to run sub 49.
Wonder what Jess can run?? 12.75

Yeah , we must have the ability with the organisers for the Oslo DL to get lanes for anybody.

An athlete gets a lane with a SB of 11.61 and 24.09 in Geneva in excellent conditions and three weeks to the Trials.Was nt there somebody else more deserving.

DL meets have a certian number of discretionary places for the local orgnaisers to use, look at Rome loads of Italians off the pace but given their shot. Norway does not have a large number of athletes across a range of events so picks European athletes, and ours are some of the best Europeans, either in the rankings, or on previous championship performances, so it's little surprise that we get more into Oslo.

Jeremy1, are you actually complaining that British athletes are getting a chance to compete in Oslo? Anyway, the women's 100m isn't a Diamond League event, so the organisers can do exactly as they like with it.

I don't think there's enough money for a great 100m field after you've got Bolt & Powell in there.

The w100mH is stellar. Only Harper and Foster missing. Jess may have to run a PB to make the final!

Hoping for McColgan to get the A, Tiff to get a good start, Proctor a UK record - it's going to take 7m more or less to get a medal this year. Want Abi to go sub 23. Twell's run 4:09 for her last couple of races. I'd love her to get the A, or even the B. The good thing for Steph is that she does have the 5k as a back up.

I heard that Montell has had tonsilitis in April/May. I'd love her to get back to the 11.2/11.3 form she's shown in the past. Oyepitan's been running well, Onuora is improving; we need Kwakye and Williams to get back towards their best as they're both legit 11.1 runners. That relay team would be the best, but we need a couple of other good runners in there and Montell's been good on the 2nd leg.

Looks like getting these athletes into the event was a good idea! 45.11 mixes things up a bit, PB by 0.6, and 1.44.98 a PB by 1.33!!

Warburton's PB was 1:46.31 prior to this evening. I thought he had 1:45.5 in him. Three men running sub 1:45 in one year makes me very, very happy indeed!

Watch out, I've heard that Warburton wasn't actually capable of that time...

But that's now 4 400m runners under the A and 3 800m runners (with Mukhtar Mohammed knocking on the door). The trials are going to be incredible.

The bends do look bad - hopefully a couple of races at Trials will help her find some rhythm
