I know it's not their feed but could they keep it going in the corner whilst the chat between races is happening? Field events are as exciting as track.

To be fair, so have the commentators, who keep throwing lines like 'new territory' etc at 2.31m...!

I think we can all aspire to be better informed than the commentators!

Robbie 3 failures at 2.35.
Brilliant result for him tonight.

Don't know if this correct, but I think Dwain's running the relay later?

Way down the field but Pavey 15:09.53 is a good run for her.

Not long ago we would go ballistic if any British jumper went over 8m. He's got 5 tonight culminating in the big one. :D

I was just going to comment myself on what a great sequence it was - 6 legal jumps, all 7.98 or further.

Great run for Osagie 1.44.7 (approx). I thought he might even win it at 80m out. :D

I think that was the worst Beeb coverage ever. Why do the producers let Colin Jackson witter on over the introductions to middle distance races when Steve Cram is there and actually knows what he's talking about?

Now I'm listening to Radio 5 live and they're chatting over the 4 x 400 relay. What's the matter with them??

Did anyone see Conrad Williams step to the OUTSIDE lanes after he had handed over to Clarke in the lead? What on earth was he thinking?

I don't think the slight bump on the Botswanan merits an appeal, but still... none of that in the real competitions, please.

Still live on the BBC website . GB win the 4x4 3.01.76. Jack Green 45.2 anchor.
Team was Levine, Conrad Williams, Clarke, Jack Greene.
With Rooney, Bingham, Dai Greene, Delano Williams still in the mix.

Agreed sidelined, thank god the red button went back to it's norm. Although if you were watching BBC Three the feed gets killed halfway round the first lap of the 800m

I think first leg is still up for grabs, but would probably have Clarke-Green-Rooney as my last three. Have never really got the love for Dai on the relay and Jack Green looks to have far more in the tank than that 45.2 solo run

Re 4x100m - WTF is Dwain doing on first leg? i don't remember him being a great bend runner and he got eaten at that US meet - I'd have thought 2nd or 4th leg

1. I'd def have Jack in there. He's looking strong!

2. Maybe they were trying to keep a low profile for Dwain, rather than the obvious anchor?

Good relay run out. Conrad the weakest link...did Levine really run a 44.6 opening leg???

Green looked very strong and I think should be in the team. Clarke looks so full of running but really struggles with his last 80m, lack of race fitness??

Add Rooney, Greene, Buck, Tobin, Bingham and Steele into the mix and we have a very strong team for London!
