As I read it some unnamed UKA person made a "too much weight" remark in private.
Toni himself brought it into the public domain with predictable consequences.
The use of the word 'fat' seems to be purely a media invention.

No names but saw somebody with their 'ear to the ground' last night
and he confirmed my suspicions. It was not CVC and could
it be the person concerned was probably refering to he suitabilitly

Jess is down to run the 100H in Oslo on Thursday, against a pretty stacked field (over 2 rounds) including Pearson, Carruthers, Lopes-Schliep, Porter and Lolo Jones.

Louise Hazel and Katarina Johnson-Thompson are both doing the Kladno Combined Events meeting next weekend

http://www.iaaf.org/Mini/WCE12/Results/ ... t.html#det

Hopefully, conditions will be good and both go over the 'A' standard - especially KJT who as yet does not have it.

Anyone got any predictions for Louise and KJT for this weekend? Something tells me that KJT is about to overtake Louise as our number two with 6200 - but that Louise will wrestle it back in London with around 6300/6400

I know shes a cheat so id rather she was not at the Olympics but another thing I found crazy.. a South AMerican Record still doesnt meet Brazils Olympic Standards... that is outrageous! and I though the mens long jumpers and womens high jumpers had it bad!

Thanks for the reminder, paulouk83. Just for the record: Lucimara da Silva tested positive for EPO in 2009 and served a two-year ban.

It's difficult to remember all the banned and once-banned athletes. This one would have flown under my radar had you not mentioned it.

Thanks for the digging. I hadn't noticed that she set PBs in every discipline in the same competition, which must be an extraordinarily rare occurrence. I wonder what her progress will be? This 'perfect storm' of being in PB form in every event and enjoying obviously favourable conditions could mean that this remains her best score for a while - à la Chernova. Eyes must be kept peeled!
