Re: Pistorius trial

I must say my gut feel is that he's guilty and I am not enamoured by either his performance or his legal guys........attack is the best means of defense.

Re: Zharnel Hughes

I have to say that all this bickering about thin and that is a turn off from the Forum.

Frankly it smacks of mental masturbation..........nothing really good comes from it.

Take your petty arguments elsewhere please.

Re: BRITISH WOMEN 800MTS

Actually its shaping up to be a very interesting season. Mebbe not so much internationally - but you never know. So - as my moniker says Sprintfan some random thoughts: Dasaolu/Gemili - how has their training together helped? - but is Gemili OK? No Indoor outings? Clarke - delivering on his early pr...

Re: BRITISH WOMEN 800MTS

Mump. Have not looked at Judd or Muirs 400 speed but if they're managing 55ish at the moment isn't that pacey enough for their ages? And they're focus is 800? I think either or both will break the current British record. 2016/2017 maybe

Re: Young athletes to watch out for in 2014

Ursus,

You miserable curmugeon!

What would Gemili have to achieve for you to say he was World Class? Beat Beast and Bolt in 19.18?

FFS. He's 20!!!

How many sub 20 second 20 year old's were there last year? The Year before?

Happy New Year.

Re: What's next for Christine Ohuruogu?

As usual the same mealy mouthed negative thinkers imagining the worst possible scenario........ I think a number of the negative thinkers have forgotten how late teens and early 20's students can be total 'dipsticks' and screw absolutely everything up in their power. Perhaps they are denying their o...

Re: Outdoor Results 2013

Rooney Gugl Result and Chris Clark Weekend highlight Good to see these guys putting some serious/decent marks down after some time. Not knowing any background must say I like their style. Letting their performances do the talking. No whingeing/moaning about this or that - just keeping their heads do...

Re: Men's Sprints in Moscow

Agree Kingmaker. Talbot and Ellington show better results for the 200 than Kilty who seems to have focussed on the 100 this year. Good result in C-L-F but looks kinda isolated compared to the others results. Allow Gemili to focus on one event - and the relay - and lets see what he can do. Could he g...

Re: Outdoor Results 2013

SteveK.

That is exactly the point.

I have really enjoyed the big names mentioned from the 80-90's - as well as the 400m guys we had. But its gone. Great memories and I'm happy to get behind and the current crop of our top athletes.

And some of the not so top athletes trying to come through.

Re: British Athletics European Trials and UK Champs 9-10th F

Just to support other positive comments about Holly B. Good progress for her over the last year and to be vaulting 4.77 in early February and even thinking about 4.90 bodes very well for her future. 'Flunker' statements are completely out of order! She seems quite tall and powerfully built for a fem...

Eilidh Child runs 52.06 indoors......maybe a bit quicker in the final. Another good omen for the 4 x 400?

And of course her 400H times should improve!

I'd guess that Christine O's new approach will help her with running faster 400 legs.......that could help secure a few more podium finishes?

Re: Brussels DL 7 September (Merritt 12.80 WR)

Am a user of the IAAF site for these Diamond League Meetings and have found the site very slow and 'clunky' this year. Didn't last year or previously.

I'm using Google Chrome as its normally faster with most sites.......any others struggling this year?

Re: Maz Okoro to be added to the women's 800m

Just leave it be. The decision, whilst controversial, is a good message for up and coming folks.

Those not selected will probably roll over and go back to work. But when they think about their own situation and how that led to the decision.

Like Mr van C's style! :)
