New coaching/athletics website to share

My husband has started a new coaching website that I think many here might find interesting. Ron has over 40 years coaching experience and felt it was time to share his knowledge and insight. He will be constantly updating the site with new videos and articles. Check it out and let us know what you ...

I haven't been to this forum in ages cos it really can be quite a downer. But Anthony you take the whinging cake. You must have a very charmed life if such a minor and trivial issue consumes you as this one seems to.(along with the others from the past which you have gone on ad nauseum about here). ...

[quote="FlumpyThe tampering would have been done before the testers got there. The very fact that the IAAF have been working on this for 18 months and have only now made a move would indicate that they have a watertight case.[/quote]

Or pee tight to be more precise.

I think MW has just single handedly proven why this message board is so dead. Every single topic on these forums at some point turns into and anti UKA rant. The vast majority of us are not interested in these parochial matters, we want to discuss athletes and athletics not internal administrative s...

Vlasic and De la tour (whom I have never heard of of course)...umm a big fat NO. Lol, if you saw moving images of de la Tour when she was younger, there is a definitely resemblance. Fair enough, not a 'spitting-image-lookalike' as such, but there is a definitely similarity in the way the outer-side...

The Kwaye/Estelle one yes. Vlasic and De la tour (whom I have never heard of of course)...umm a big fat NO. Speaking of fat- just compare their lips-a slight resemblance around the eyes (they both have two  ) but that's it. I think a closer comparison to Vlasic would be Mila Jovovich. http://w...

Excellent result but throwing well without a lot of pressure does't mean much.
I hope she can learn to throw well when it counts. (the toughest part about the throws- staying consistent under pressure).

Not really because I train with 1p or 2p coins in training but occasionally 50p coins to build up my strength. Did I tell you I was thinking about doubling up? I believe in supporting athletes but no way could you hoist Canadian money. Have you seen our twonie: http://205.243.100.155/frames/twonie6...

Exactly-which is why I think people like Coe should quit shouting that the sky is falling and emphasize the positive. of course i live in a country where the sport declined starting in the 70's and has never and probably will never recover. I guess I sound like Coe but in Canada the reality is that ...

I really enjoyed and completely agreed with the article in AW by Darrell Smith. I particularly agree with what he says about the lamenting and near hysteria exhibited by some of the sport's prominent stars. YES it is great to be vocally and vehemently opposed to frug use. I am all for that. But I am...

The way I understood the headline was that it wasn't so much that Chambers is a horror - more the fact that his win in Sheffield created a nightmare (horror) situation for UKA. AW's stance in the Feb 14 issue seemed a bit more balanced compared to previous week. Someone replying to my orginal post-...

Just to be perfectly clear I am not soft on drug cheats . I wonder how any athlete who cheats and gets caught has the nerve to return to the sport. I would not cheer him on nor would I boo him. I would ignore him and hopes he goes away soon. I just feel the rhetoric around this one athlete has been ...

Perhaps AW did it to sell more issues or they are truly that outraged he was allowed to return (and as those are the rules and they have been for a long time I don't see what there is to complain about). Athletics Weekly makes no apologies for its anti-drugs stance. You only have to look at last we...

All I was saying was that ,in my humble opinion, the cover and the subsequent coverage inside about Chamber's return seemed a tad sensationalized. Cover page overkill

I just got the most recent AW with the title "CHAMBER OF HORRORS" splashed across the front. Yes it is a catchy title and I am sure it will help sell copies but I find it rather over the top. I am no fan of Chambers but I find myself truly feeling sorry for the guy. We here in Canada had p...

My point Isabre was Jones may have lost face in the athletics world , but has she lost anything in real terms . Simple answer is NO. Are you sure about that? She is bankrupt and looks set to face six months in jail. I think that extends a bit further outside of 'losing face in the athletics world'....
