Hannah England has run a spectacular 1:59.66 800m in Linz tonight! Shame she couldn't have found that form 2 weeks ago but certainly bodes very well for the rest of the season and beyond

Sadly I think she will go down as yet another British athlete that never met their full potential. In Osaka, she ran a 48.76 (!) relay leg The only woman to run faster was Allyson Felix. She could/should have been better than Christine, IMO

Whilst I certainly am not saying I believe these rumours, there is definitely something hypocritcal about all these angered reactions; had these rumours been about a non - GB athlete you can be certain that these rumours would have been met with much more suspicion and 'I told you so's', regardless ...

Couldn't agree more regarding Colin 'indeed' Jackson - awful, awful presenter/commentator! I actually think Edwards has gotten worse too, he used to be decent.

Disappointing run from Rooney.

Random Q, but whatever happened to Becky Lyne? She had such a good season back in 2006 and then disappeared with injuries. It's such a shame, as she had (arguably) more potential then any of the current 800m crop.
