Re: World Indoors Day 3

Am a bit behind live action and just heard CJ say 'Asha Phillips' three times in one sentence. Please make him go away!

Looked to me like James D. ran out of his lane for quite a while.

Not surprised. Still disappointing though. Also wouldn't be surprised if he's a no-show at the Worlds. Oh well.

Why's that?

He seems to be made out of porcelain.

That sounds promising. Personally I think the flat would be a better use of her athletic talents.

Re: IAAF World Junior Championships 2012

The bend runner always carries the baton in the right hand and passes it to the left hand of the the athlete running the straight. In this instance it looked like a real stretch for the incomer - could they not have found a more efficient/comfortable method for the athlete, even if it necessitated ...

Re: IAAF World Junior Championships 2012

It looked like for our final changeover in the girls' 4x1 the incomer was trying to pass the baton right-handed to the final girl's outstretched left hand (or maybe vice versa, too depressed to watch it again) - mistakes on both sprint relays that would annoy a PE teacher in a high school games less...

Re: IAAF World Junior Championships 2012

Now he ploughs too far right of his line and takes the Brits out of it. it looked to me, albeit on a very brief replay, that the outgoing GB runner went off too late, didn't get his hand back in time and the incoming runner hit him with the baton on the first attempt at the changeover which made hi...

Re: London Diamond League 2012

Aside from PSD's fantastic run, in dodgy conditions. The most telling thing for me is the field event results... Hooker's no height and Lavillenie's early exit both show that British weather can fck with many a professional. I really hope the same events have worthy winners and that there aren't to...

Re: London Diamond League 2012

Why are our sprinters all so big? Williamson and MLF looked so stocky and even look like they are carrying excess weight (like me!) - Gemili is not in their shape at all and lets hope it stays that way!! I mentioned this in a post on TFN earlier this evening in response to someone asking about what...
