Re: Rome DL

But why leave perhaps the best sprint coach in the UK after a spectacular season to train with a novice 150 miles away?

I've no doubt he will do well this year of course but never understood why the move. Must have taken a lot of smooth talking and promises by the Loughborough lot

Re: UKA Poaching Again!!

I look at 2 examples. Chris Zar- coached Perry Shakes since she was a child to world class. He was never an athlete and took her to an Olympics. Should she have gone to a UKA coach? Craig Winrow- ex athlete. UKA guy based at St Mary's. every year gets the pick of the best UK middle distance talent -...

Re: IAAF World Relays

Silly question perhaps but how do they know when to go on the shuttle relays.
No batons so is there any cue for the athletes to go?

Re: IAAF World Relays

There should not be a single poster here who would not have known that the decision to put in CO was stupid in a true Brit style. She has made it crystal clear that she is not interested this season in anything and is having a rest. As for the comment about our weakness in 400m runners. Join the cl...

Re: Outdoor season 2014

Being fast doesn't mean they have to have any brains - sadly.

Kilty, Ellington and Ujah together in a room - the iq level possibly reaches double figures?
If they were in big brother they'd be scrapping within 5 minutes

Re: Morgan Lake

Its possible you are being deliberately obtuse, I'm not sure. Steve, our views are divirgent on this, but I really don't think Malcolm is being obtuse here. As for policy, I'm no great fan of red tape, but I assume that there is some firm foundation behind the policy based on past experience of jun...

Re: Outdoor season 2014

I really don't like Kilty, why would be feel the need to release this to the press, whether its true or not? He doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut and I worry he's really going to put his foot in it at some point, he was in trouble for smashing an estate agents window a few years ago. Bit of ...

Re: IAAF World Relays

How childish of them. Pathetic really isn't it. I remember going to a junior league match a few years ago and there was a fight where a knife was threatened apparently - 2 junior sprinters were involved in the melee and got banned I believe (Ujah / Arthur)?? Thankfully these sort of things don't ha...

Manchester Games- 20 minutes so far on disability sprinting.

Re: THE 2014 STATISTICAL REVIEW OF BRITISH ATHLETICS T&f

Desiree will be 19 in August and her performance with a max 2.0 mps wind was worth about 11.17. She will be fun to watch in July at the WJ Champs. !! I do so hope she keeps fit and does not have the dreaded dip over the next couple of years, after what may be a great year for her. One of my pet pee...
