Re: UK Sprint Queens

Okoro seemingly often runs an early season 1500. I wouldn't pay a great deal of attention to that time. I guess she has more written about her thn any other athlete on here? I think she'll come good at last and run 1.56 this year. Was very sceptical about the Johnny Gray move as he was just like her...

Re: The REALLY interesting London Marathon Debut

An anagram of Ashton is Shat on...... John Bicourt you are a disgraceful man. I used to look up to you and have met you but that is beyond contempt. As for Jeremy -I expect it of him. Oh and Jeremy I think my career in the sport and subsequent coaching etc beats your vile abuse. I'm off this forum ...

Re: The REALLY interesting London Marathon Debut

...but KB and TD are also far and away better athletes that Mo at the shorter distances I agree with your other points but not this. 1500m PBs KB = 3:32 MF = 3:28 Has there ever been an athlete before who is sub 3:29 for 1500m and sub 2h08:29 for the marathon? Re: Pointless IPC events

It's an interesting thread-disability sport is vital in so many ways-participation, self-esteem, elite level etc etc. I know of a couple of Olympians who privately expressed their concern that the Paralympics stars had more PR and opportunities commercially than they did!! I guess there is an argume...

Re: Youth Development League Upper Timetable

Scrap all leagues and have well organised open graded meetings. This is a common comment but the trouble with it is that the minority events (hurdles, pole vault, some throws) will die out because very few meetings will promote them and clubs would not encourage athletes to take them up. Look at th...

I agree with Mump.
How can one be proud if say Jodie Williams or Asha Philip win a title if you're not connected to the athlete in any way?
Pleased/delighted/happy yes-but not proud

Re: Zharnel Hughes

Jezzer has moaned on about "lefties" on every post on this thread.
I get the impression he'll only be happy if the sport went back to men only, from white upper middle class backgrounds competing or Varsity matches.

(Imagines Jezzer on the phone to Farage in te morning demanding as much)!

Re: Jessica Ennis-Hill calls for more female coaches in athl

2 female coaches involved in an unsightly fight recently at a south London track resulted in coachijg licence suspensions I hear for them from EA (one was employed by them and is/was a great coach).
Very sad to hear and does nothing for female coaches

Re: Schools fields - The Olympic Legacy !

On a similar vein- I was in the Olympic Park today after a shopping spree in Westfield and was shocked to see how little park there is left. There was a display of how it will look and it's so small and narrow. The area of grass across from the media centre is being made this year into a large hotel...

Re: New York Half Marathon

Sadly he does seem a little obsessed with £$$£
Nothing wrong with that of course-good luck to him

More likely his agents demanding it though rather than him.
He always seems a very nice guy. After 2012 his club asked him to attend a function for young athletes but the agent quoted £8000 or something.
