Re: Diamond League, Rome

I wonder if Aregawi can maintain this form in the womens 1500m? She looks invincible at the moment in both slow and fast races, yet its still 2 months to the world champs, she races an awful lot and she has had a full indoor season on top of that.

Re: Eugene DL

@Ursus

As he was down for the 10k until yesterday. He must almost be at the fitness to do himself justice over 10k. I reckon his test sessions this week favoired his chances over 5k rather than 10 sohey went with the 5. having said that my money is on Rupp.

Re: Eugene DL

Apparantly he has a stomach complaint. http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/05/31/athletics-prefontaine-farah-idUSL3N0EC0H420130531 Might explain his slow time in London last weekend. The stomach complaint was apparently a month ago, so maybe it has just disrupted his training rather than being an o...

Re: Outdoor Results 2013

Mr Me How many hard races can a distance athlete sustain in a season? He'll want a race or two to get in shape for Moscow, but not necessarily really tough ones. I understand that Moscow is the priority, but one competitive spring target would of been nice, its not like its Olympic year anymore. Wh...

Re: Outdoor Results 2013

It's not Mo's fault that the organisers failed to give him stiffer competition, is it? What's the difference between what Mo has done and what Rutherford did on Saturday? #raiseawarenessofthesport I don't think Mo was after competition in this race just a fun run in his home town. Its the British 1...

Re: Outdoor Results 2013

Farah wins the 10K road race in 29.13, somewhat slower than expected even with a negative wind maybe; did he just trot round and is he saving it till Eugene either 5 or 10K when he will have some tougher competition. Wooton won the race in 32.37 with Twell and Pidgeon a minute behind in 2nd and 3rd...

Re: Shanghai DL

What's happened to Greg R's sponsorship deal with Nike? Perhaps he rated his gold more than they did. Wonder who is agent is. I'm really disappointed in the way Rutherford's gold medal seems to have received very little attention from the British media after the Olympics. It seemed to have been all...

Re: Outdoor Results 2013

I have not heard a word about Gemili. Is he injured or what. Last year on June 2nd he was already in sub 10.11 territory. he has been out training in the states. The impression I get is he had an injury at the start of the year which has put him behind a little but now he is approaching a good leve...

Mr. Me Nothing on the horizon in mens 1500. But Osagie's rate of improvement last year puts him in a good place. I look forward to the progression of Chris o'hare and Ross Murray especially Murray who came from nowhere last year on what seemed like unstructured/ part time training, hes moved to Ore...

Re: Loughborough International meet

48.9 for Rhys Williams. We always go into the champs with a chance of the medal in the womens 1500m and with laura weightman in fine form and lisa dobriskey coming off a solid bowt of winter training for the first time in a long time, there will be a chance there. Re: Outdoor Results 2013

This ''tactical'' debate thing seems to be a ''damned if you do , damned if you don't'' scenario. Only if you keep getting it so wrong over and over again. And it is quite obvious many Uk athletes get it tactically very wrong when championships come around. Name names, two that often crop up are li...

Re: Outdoor Results 2013

It would be such a relieve to see one or two of our middle distance runners male or female run with conviction and without fear. Like Crammy did. Shanghai Diamond League

The startlists are up on the website, with British interest focused on the long jump which features Chris Tomlinson, Greg Rutherford and JJJ. Grabarz goes again in the high jump, Conrad Williams in the 400m and Helen Clitheroe the 5000m.

Re: Alistair Brownlee 10000m (28.32.48)

I doubt Mr. Brownlie will seriously target track and field. Why would he, as the worlds best triathlete by a country mile? He will never be able to devote the time needed to take on the worlds best. If he runs in Glasgow it will be for a bit of fun. I think he will dabble in track and field as its ...

He fell on the bend, didn't look like his fault but shame he didn't get up just in order to give the other two some running to do.

Re: VIRGIN LONDON MARATHON

I fail to see why Mo's appearance has upset so many of you. He (presumeably) enjoyed himself, the public were pleased to see him, and he got in his Sunday endurance run. Whats the problem? That he earned a few bob ? What we should be embarrassed about is the lack of GB contenders (male and female) ...

Did Mo Farah actually get to the 20K mark, how far back when he stopped from the main bunch at the time and what was the official 20K time. I heard 58.30 for the latter ; any official knowledge on that one. He wasn't really racing anyone or pushing himself, didn't look tired, looked a bit embarasse...

Did Mo pull out before halfway as apparently a lot of people annoyed who were at the 13 mile mark to watch him but never saw him? (Some disgruntled people on tube just told me). If true he could have at least kept his end of the deal Yes he did it was a very strange finish, just crept through the r...

Helen Clitheroe has dropped out of the London Marathon because she's missed training with a cold and feels she wouldn't be able to do herself justice. What a pity. She's now aiming for an autumn marathon. A real shame, but this is the problem with marathon runners who are approaching 40, small thin...

Re: Oscar Pistorius

This is just lawyers games again. An innocent man should have the right to compete so they are trying to act as if it's business as usual. Guilty of not thoroughly disgraceful behaviour, but we've come to expect nothing less in this case. Anyone in the world who is facing a murder trial, even if th...

I was amazed at some attitudes on tv this morning when this was discussed. Saying he should be able to go to the worlds this year because hes innocent until proven guilty.
