Re: Asafa Powell

He's 31 now so he'll be nearly 33 when his ban ends. Can't see him running again, I think it's best he doesn't, he's done a lot if damage to the sport Sadly he's clear to run though at the end of the year:-( you never know it could have been a Veronica campbell-Brown case where he never cheated in ...

Re: World Junior Championships

On the men's side, no-one has qualified yet, but one of Michael Causer (7.52i) or Oliver Newport (7.41i this year, 7.70 PB) should get the 7.65 Long Jump standard at least (which incidentally seems a little high given that mark would have got you top 4 in each of the last three editions, but the IA...

Re: World Junior Championships

Anyway... Taylor Campbell threw 71.07m with the 6kg hammer at the weekend to put him 6th on the UK a/t junior rankings. If he can add a couple more metres he should be right in the mix to at least make top 8 at the World Juniors, although given that Ashraf Amgad, who set the WJR of 85.57 two years ...

I believe Dina and Desiree have both done the WJC already as 16 year olds... I also suspect competition at the WJC this year will be higher than at the CG...I am sure they will both be happy to do the one which they are selected to do... There are already seniors such as Sophie Papps, Asha Philip, ...

Re: World Junior Championships

You would expect edoburun to post somewhere in the region of 10.20-10.25 this year based in his progression in the 60m, but looking at those 100m times from the top juniors he would be unlikely to medal with that! That american guy looks like he could have a legal sub 10 in him this year! I recon J...
