Re: w4x1 failure (AGAIN)

Lets see if they really are bothered by organising a relay this week for the GB girls.

.

When is the end of qualifying for the relay? And if there is time would UKA be able to set it up?

Re: UK Women's 800m

I feel that Sharpe will have to try and hunt down the A standard somewhere else if possible, but I think Okoro has proved herself and should be taken. Meadows says she had ran a 2.00.80 time trial by herself which i think is pretty good, i know her achilles is playing up but i feel she can do it and...

Re: Various 2012 Olympic news

There are multiple errors in that article. I don't think it's possible for Slovenia to qualify is it? I did wonder. Euro's possible though? No - Slovenia could still qualify for the Olympics. They'd need 2 brilliant times at the Euros. Qualifying period ends on the 2nd of July. Britain aren't certa...

Re: Helsinki 2012 European Athletics Championships

Also - why no Abi in the 4x100m relay - she's our best sprinter and has years of experience in the relay. Does this mean she won't be doing the relay at the Olympics? That could cost us a couple of places which could make the difference of a medal or not. Also surprised to see no PSD in the 4x400m ...

Re: General results thread - June 2012

I won't write Lisa off just yet. They don't hand out medals in June they are awarded on the 8th of August. Who knows what form the Africans will be in then. Look at the worlds last year the one - two was Simpson and England. I agree, everyone is always saying how the Africans dominate 800m to the M...

Re: What's Happened to our Sprinters?

I think we are doing well at this stage in the season, people are only worrying so much just because it is an Olympic year which is perfectly understandable. However, I do think we will see a significant improvement come the trials. I have seen a number of athletes posting on twitter that they are a...

Re: 4x400m Relay Line Ups

On the womens side i think is also pretty exciting. I think the likes of Massey has been quite a suprise and I wouldn't be suprised if she got the better of Sanders at the trials. I feel Nicola has been pretty underwhelming this season, although I would love to see her do better, I can't see it happ...

Re: 4x400m Relay Line Ups

On the men's side, Rooney has to be anchor leg, while Nigel Levine was really impressive leading off in Rome (sub-45) and should repeat there. Beyond that, there is exciting competition with any of the others mention except Bingham and Clarke (unless there're sudden reversals in form) in with a sho...

Re: What's Happened to our Sprinters?

I do have a few worries about the womens sprinters, especially because kwakye has a SB of 11.68. However I would like to see the likes of Adeoye make the step up for the trials, she was very impresive in the indoor season and hasn't ran in decent conditions since April.

Re: seeking reassurance about ....

Well I wouldn't worry about Jodie or Asha, they're both in the same training group along with Desiree Henry, they have all been in hard training over the past few months. They have only raced once whilst in a big chunk of training and in VERY poor conditions so don't worry there! With PSD she has pu...

Helsinki 2012

I am a little confused as to what UK athletics is deciding to do about the Euro's, when is the team announced? Who is elligable and if athletes do intend to go to Helsinki then do they miss the trials? Finally, does anyone know if the BBC are planning to show it? Or will it just be on Eurosport and ...

Re: Kladno 2012

KJT seems very determined, her sprints I am especially pleased with.
I did some rough wind calculations for her hurdles and if there was no wind her time would of 13.3 ish
However, if there was a following wind of (2.6) She would of broken the 13 second barrier! :D

Womens 100m - 400m Olympics/Helsinki

In the past few years womens sprinting has been at it's lowest, however, I do think that this year there could be a resurgence within women's sprinting. Now I was wondering who everyone though would qualify for this years Olympics and for the Europeans in Helsinki. My Predictions Olympics: 100m Jean...
