Re: Berlin submit bid for 2018 European Championships

Berlin 2018 sounds like a good thing to me and given we've got the Worlds the year before, I can wait a little longer for the next home champs. I'd certainly prefer the UK to go for a real Euros in 2022 rather than a plastic one in 2020.

That entry list has got a number of Ethiopians running in the 10k's at the trials including one Kenenisa Bekele. Hope it's true. I've got fond memories of Meserat Defar's incredible sub 30 minute run in the rain a couple of years ago.

Unfortunately, the trials are less than a week before the European Champs. The trial also clash with the U20 and U23 trials for some weird reason which escapes me so I fear the trials will prove to be a big disappointment in the one year we might have hoped to get a decent turnout.
