Re: diamond B'ham sun 10july11

Listen, fangio, you are, as usual, talking nonsense; the British record without an acknowledged cheat, DC, is 37.77 in 1993 and you have no evidence whatsoever that Christie was a cheat at the time of the 1993 performance at Stuttgart Of the top ten performances,All-time, in the Sprint Relay 4x100, ...

Re: Lawrence Okoye New British record

Rubbish rant; you deliberately did not accentuate that since 1997 in general when UKA took over and when the money poured in to a fully bureaucratic set up this century you might well have expected some records. I should think so!!! lets have a look at our records since UKA took over in 1997 men 5K/...

Re: World Youth Championships

A wonderful example of the love of world wide track is demonstrated here; one of the most amazing performances ever, the 1.44.08 by the young African Masai winner of the 800m in a fabulous standard race gets coverage here of 6/7 words from Paul. The guy's previous best is thought to be 1.46.08. Thir...

The list of entrants for the Euro Under 23s is up on the EAA site; depressing to see in the "mens" section only 3 Brits, a high jumper,Smith, and our two discus entrants. One of the lowest from the major countries.

LOCOG have no interest whatsoever in anybodys frustrations or empty spaces at early sessions of athletics or other sports, since the ideals for Locog was 500 million pounds from the sale of tickets; they never talked before the April 2011 sale date about selling over 3 rounds, or 1 million tickets n...

Re: Diamond League Paris 8th July 2011

The Beebs website for DLs being shown says "BBC Red Button or BBC website"; that, I assume, means that the Red button on BBC1 or BBC2, top right corner; as opposed to Channel 301 on Freeview. Is this correct for the brilliant meet on Friday?

Re: La Chaux-de-Fonds meeting 3 July

Athough the wind factors are acknowledged as sometimes complex, I cannot, with the greatest possible generosity to Richard Kilty, accept the idea that he just ran a better race by 0.63 secs in the space of a week, even if theSwiss reading somehow represented a much greater wind benefit. We look forw...
