Re: Frank Dick in Conflict with UKA

History shows us that one good coach + one good athlete + reasonable facilities can often = Gold medals

History also shows us that after spending £200,000,000 that very little alters in terms of real levels of success.

Re: How the cuts will affect sport

Coach's cannot replace school teachers in school time. Coach's do not have enough time to deliver an effective session during a P.E lesson to many Children. Therefore after school coaching has to be the way forward, every school can have a shot and discus circle put down and a long/triple jump runwa...

Re: How the cuts will affect sport

I agree entirely with this kermit, i spent years in schools and brought some great athletes to our local clubs, schools were pleased because those children with interest and talent got the time and help they needed which of course cannot be afforded by busy school teachers. This is why clubs should ...

Re: Shara Proctor

Your still a xenophobe, no matter how you dress it.. Total Garbage....This is a standard reply from people like you! Re: Shara Proctor

I will rephrase it then! Athletes with a british passport not raised in this country and whose parents who have not contributed to the Nations pot or Lottery fund. Put some in take some out as SV rightly says this sort of behaviour could put up and coming home grown talent off and have negative effe...

Re: Shara Proctor

Why not just do away with national teams and just buy a good team much like football does in the premier league, this begs the question of should these immigrants be given funding which could go to real british athletes, I suggest that they have a five year cooling off period before they get funding...

Re: demise of Copthall Stadium

Then 13 years of autocratic rule by UKA and EA have finished it off almost.

I would have hoped that there was enough athletic support for copthall to make people think again about this proposed nonsense.

Re: demise of Copthall Stadium

kermit But the bottom line for me is this, once again under a Conservative leadership is dumbing down the kids, the evidence of the effects that has are there for all to see. They cannot get anymore dumbed down after 13 years of new labour X factor style government, the tories have only been in powe...

Re: demise of Copthall Stadium

Most eloquently put steve 8) When the tories were in power I could not afford to take all my children to athletics, this did not change one little bit over the next 13 years of new labour despite hundreds of millions of pounds being pumped into an establishment which had a responsibility to sort the...

Re: demise of Copthall Stadium

Kermit; Keep believing that Sam. Had it not been for a Labour Party you may not be a coach. Utter rubbish kermit, keep politics out of it, all the best coachs made it through their own efforts, new labour coachs are the grimmest to date and the lowest qualified and abled ever, they after all funded ...

Re: demise of Copthall Stadium

A truly dreadful state of affairs Sam, bloody rugby and football have access to plenty of fields that is all they need, why do they want the centre of every athletics facility at the expense of the throwers, Why not put them on the top field or a school field which would bring in income to the schoo...

Re: Doping news

If every top twenty athlete had to have a blood passport and had to be tested at least four times a year then we might start making real in roads into doping, until such times then it is a case of catch me if you can!

I think we are long over due for a blood passport system, profiling, we could lead the world in this and show at the Olympics just how clean our athletes are.

flumpy On what grounds? There i no evidence that the food poisoning that he supposedly had was anything to do with clembuterol. Just because he says it's the case (Without producing any evidence of it being the case) it doesn't mean that you have to believe him. On the grounds that UKA did not act i...

It doesn't matter whether or not you do not see why we kept samples what matters is that we did and we did it for obvious reasons, had sampl...

By going on google and reading the side effects of clenbuteral it seems to match the symptoms that the athletes suffered from. What we do know is, there has been big cases of it in China, Mexico, even portugal was mentioned, it is readily available in South Africa. What cannot be ruled out is spikin...

Seriously though tainted meat is a known factor therefore it should be tested , there are no cases of this substance in fruit or veg or beer is there?

Now we have heard all the evidence and excluded meat and personal use we are left with the possibility that the food or drinks was spiked. Was anyone else tested at this time?

BigGut Flash, Can you show me the hordes of failed tests by atheletes from Africa as a result of this supposed issue. I just don't buy it. If there was a problem with the food supply then people living there would be failing for clenbutarol left right and centre. I did not say they had BigGut I said...

Is this so unreasonable given how many problems Africa has with steroids intheir meat. This is a well documented problem UKA could have made sure all athletes especially y...
