Re: Marta Dominguez

Awful athlete and one of the more obvious dopers over the last decade. She was not an awful athlete or an obvious doper. Apart from being spanish distance runner and her name being associated there was nothing particularly suspicious about her performances or behaviour. I'm sorry, did you not say a...

Re: Marta Dominguez

The article specifically states that her haemoglobin levels were high in 2009 when she won the world title. Can she be stripped of her gold medal? It talks about a two year ban but that seems meaningless if it starts this year! There could be a precedent with the Inga Abitova case. Her suspension b...

Marta Dominguez

I'm guessing that when you saw the title of this thread you knew what was coming. The IAAF seems to have nabbed her. http://deportes.elpais.com/deportes/2013/05/21/actualidad/1369161123_744568.html I know you shouldn't enjoy the misfortunes of others but, to be honest, my schaden has never been freu...

Re: 2013 world leaders

D pickup Thanks for that great post; I was thinking in the small hours of this morning about the very rankings that you came up with. Re: BUCS

Jeremy if you look at current teams and previosu teams for lough brough they would get points in the NCAA finals. Look at last years results and in the field especially the Loughborugh team and UWIC team of recent years would score points. E.g Brett morse, dai Green, and a high jumper (2.25 adn ong...

Re: Outdoor Results 2013

Why TBO? Is it some sort of doping reference? Been trying to work it out The Big O - no doping reference, more her intimidating stature compared to some, and the way people (should) fear her chasing them down the home straight! Or a variation of The Big G, G for gold. It's both as well as the fact ...

So I beleive Lisa will soon be upgraded to 9th, top 8 is helpful for future selelction isn't it? I'm sure she'll get there. That got me thinking about Hilary Stellingwerff of Canada. Re: One down.......Positive tests!

It looks like Russia is getting serious. If you want to be a Sporting superpower having nobody believe your results are clean or won't be overturned in a few years kinda undermines the supposed respect that is desired by being a top power. Re: Alistair Brownlee 10000m (28.32.48)

Former steeplechaser Adam Bowden also finished a great 6th over in the San Diego triathlon, where Non Stanford also a former runner came a great 2nd in the womens. I think Alistair could challenge for a spot in the mens 10,000m and Non Stanford could likely do the same for the womens 10,000m for Wa...

Re: One down.......Positive tests!

I think we should make a distinction between the East Germans, who by and large were victims of the political system, and, for instance, the women who finished in front of Tullett.

Re: more russians banned
