Re: Outdoor Results 2013

Who are the 6? - I can see Rutherford, Jegede, Tomlinson, Burton. I would love to see 6. I do agree though that the men's Long Jump is really developing.

Re: British Athletics European Trials and UK Champs 9-10th F

Does anyone know why the following aren’t competing at the trials:
Perri Shakes-Drayton
Andrew Osagie
Tiffany Porter

I may have missed some others .....

Re: Maz Okoro to be added to the women's 800m

Jimbo I was very careful in my choice of words, which is why I said ONE of the simple truths.... And thats all I said, deliberately. Are you saying this is not true? Never mind about Lynsey Sharp, or anyone else. Never mind about common courtesies . Is it not true that if Maz had finished in the fir...

Re: Maz Okoro to be added to the women's 800m

At the end of the day Maz Okoro should have been selected for the 800m. It is a complete and utter disgrace and injustice that she hasn't. As a spectator/supporter of Athletics I feel numb that she has been treated this way and has really made me see this sport in a different light and I do feel les...

Re: GB London Olympic Team

The more and more I think about this, the more I just don’t understand and I do worry about the impact of these decisions on the future of the sport leading to the next Olympics in 2016. When CVC was put into the post, it was to lead us to 2012 and I’m sure it would have been hoped that Athletics as...

Re: UK Women's 800m

Re: GB London Olympic Team

I just can't understand some of these choices. There's a space in the 200m and Danny Talbot is going in the relay, so why not put him in the 200m? Has anyone else noticed that Perri and Childs have not been named for the relay?????? No Thomas Farrell in the 5000m They're sending a proven championshi...

Re: Helsinki 2012 European Athletics Championships

Also just noticed, no Dassalou or even Gemili down for the relay and no Rooney or Green for the 4x400m. Are the athletes selected for this in all 4 relays really going to be our Olympic Relay runners?

Re: Helsinki 2012 European Athletics Championships

I hope Merv Luckwell isn't injured - he was starting to get some consistent 80m throws and more in - any news on what's going on with him? Also - why no Abi in the 4x100m relay - she's our best sprinter and has years of experience in the relay. Does this mean she won't be doing the relay at the Olym...

Re: General results thread - May 2012

I just noticed that Shana Cox has ran 51.97 putting her 2nd on the rankings and at the moment well clear of Sanders and McConnell and in the same meeting Joice Maduaka ran 23.25 for 200m putting her currently 2nd on the rankings ahead of Margaret Adeyoe. Maduaka still fighting for a place on the Oly...

Robertson/Jegede/Sutcliffe

Does anyone know how Andy Robinson got on last night in his last ditch effort to secure his place on the team for the Worl Indoors? I think JJ Jegede's chance is tonight and Sutcliffe's is on friday. Does Andy Robinson have another opportunity if he was unsuccessful?

Re: British Team for Istanbul

And Marilyn Okoro has ran 53.3 for 400m - that must put her in with a shout for the relay. Also Brilliant to be in a position with 3 girls having the Olympic A- standard now in the Pole Vault, and good to see Steven Lewis back in form - 5.72m. He must now be included in the team. All getting better ...

Re: British Team for Istanbul

If it was me, I would look at selecting the following - some on the Head Coach discretion (if that can be used) for the benefit of experience: Men - 60m - Chambers, Robertson 400m - Buck, Levine 800m - Osagie, Thomas 1500m - Brewer, Moses 3000m - Farah (if he is planning it), Hay 60mH - Pozzi, Clark...

Re: UK middle distance (women).

I just going to go with: 800m - Meadows, Okoro, Jackson (Although I do think Lynsey Sharpe and Jemma Simpson will be in the running) 1500m - Dobriskey, England, Weightman (Although again another competitive one - Twell is likely to be in the mix with Thomas and Smith) 5000m - Twell, Clitheroe (As I ...
