I don't doubt that they will both be near or at the top in their careers but I think next year is too soon. I think Lawrence is closer than Hitchon as well and think he could be in the shout for medals next year - think Hitchon would need a while longer.

Times wouldn't be made up but that doesn't necessarily mean they are right. It's possible for equipment to be wrong. Luke Lennon-Ford ran a realistic time today which was over a second slower - I bet that happens for all of the others too.

Training on flat track in Birmingham is one thing - throwing uphill in the biggest domestic comp of the year is 100 miles away. Throwers seem to understand, some spectators are sympathetic, some apathetic, some deliberately pathetic. It's not hard to resolve, how can we help to make it happen?
