The entry list has just been updated, Okoro has replaced Kenia Sinclair in the 800m, so that's Simpson and Okoro. That will be interesting!

Why Isabre? She is no.13 on the list. Do you know something I don't know?

Re: 2012 Opening Ceremony

You'd have to go somewhat to beat the Australian Olympic Games. They certainly know how to put on a terrific show. I think it should be middle to high cost. We're supposed to be the fourth richest country in the world. Why is everything on a tight budget.

Jemma Simpson Couldn't put anything into her race, she had picked up a virus a few days before and couldn't shake it off in time. She looked ill on the start line. Yet in training a week before she ran a 400m in 53 seconds and 54 seconds back to back. Hopefully, she'll redeem herself in Zurich.

Jemma Simpson unfortunately picked up a virus several days before her heats. She couldn't shake it off in time and it took it's toll in the semi final. She had ran a 53 and 54 second 400m in training which is equal to Mutola's training regime, therefore there is a 1.58 within her somewhere. Hopeful...

As I have said before, the trials are a farce. . . Laura Turner should have been picked from the start. I was very impressed with her at the trials.

You do write a lot though and it makes a person switch off occasionally! Apologies if I've shocked you, I didn't mean to do that. And well said on the reply, I do agree with you there.

By the way, I no longer think you're an armchair athlete, probably a coach or ex coach?

Lyne being picked means we dont need rules, no trials not time frame and no A and B standard. 3 more weeks would not have singnified that Lyne would have medaled out there. Well said! Sometimes I believe the trials are a farce. Also, it should be put into perspective. We have three other good femal...

Rebecca Lyne would not have won a medal in the World champs this year. She is not in tip top condition and is also carrying a little bit of extra weight. Give the others a chance. You don't know what they can do yet, just like you didn't know what Lyne was capable of last year when she came into for...

I seem to remember Simpson winning the trials, Okoro 2nd, Meadows 3rd and Lyne 4th

I don't think Emily Pidgeon will amount to much in the future. There's far too much hype about her. I think she was a good kiddy runner doing a lot of senior training. I do hope I'm wrong though!

Jemma Simpsons sub two minute run in Heusden

Jemma Simpson is now the thirteenth UK femail athlete to run sub two minutes and still only 22 years old. There's great things to come from her yet. Watch out Gothenburg. :D
