Does anyone know who the official photographer was for the South of England Championships this weekend? Think i saw Mark Shearman there(but may have been mistaken as would have thought he was in Portugal). i've emailled the SEAA to find out.... Mark Shearman doesn't have his photos available to pur...

Benn, I think you will find that such an increase is most certainly expedient. Afterall, how else will England Athletics be able to pay for all the useless, over-paid, administrative non-jobs that they employ?

One has to always look at performances in proportion and not compared to what the likes of Usain Bolt are doing at the moment. Bolt runs off a 19.30 secs PB over 200m, meaning he could be feeling totally at ease going through 200m in low to mid 21 secs. Given his powerful build, a time of 48.78 sec...

I like the fun run mentality. When I stop training seriously I'm going to run a couple of the big marathons with my mum, just plod round taking in the atmosphere and enjoying it, just so I can say that I've done it. Fair enough not everyone is an elite athlete but you have to take your hat off to an...

It's just plain bullshit that's what. After 6 years have people still not got anything better to bum on about? Give the guy a break. I'm happy that he dicked on everyone at the euros purely for that reason. And I'm gonna buy the book, I'm sure it'll be a good read

I still feel the Uni format is worth considering. I can’t see why ‘cities’ would invest taxpayers money in this, but can see why Uni’s would invest for marketing purposes - as they do in netball. The millions spent by uni’s in recent years on facility upgrades, scholarships and paying coaches shows...

Well it was a toss up between Gladiators or a UFC style cage battle to the death and I felt Gladiators catered for a more extensive target audience.

On a more serious note I have to say I agree with you both; where all the honeys at?

Yeah fair point but the idea of this 20Twenty style competition isn't to inspire young athletes it's to promote the sport to a wider audience and people like Ohuruogu running mickey mouse events isn't going to do that. I love watching my sport on TV but I couldn't care less about how Ohuruogu runs t...

I'm sorry but comparing Christine Ohuruogu to the great Steve Ovett is athletics blasphemy. When Ovett moved away from his natural distances he still kicked arse. I know Ohuruogu has said she isn't focusing on an indoor season this winter but she got dicked on at the Irish Indoors

Sounds very similar to the Indoor City Challenge and if it is then it will be a load of old cobblers! (To put it nicely) I'd include that in the list of potentially good ideas that have not quite been what they could have been. Rather than assume that history will repeat itself though, why not imag...
