We're sure that, as with all merit rankings decided subjectively, some will have other views, so let us know ...

Re: IAAF world athlete '10

Patriot wrote:Mump - who is in your profile pic? Its too far away for me to see?

Doina Melinte.

Anyway, I voted for Ostapchuk but these competitions are just popularity contests and I don't think Nadzeya has too many ardent followers, compared to Vlasic et al.

Re: UK MALE AOY

I'd probably go for Phillips Idowu if there's a 'performance of the year' award. His jump at the Europeans was incredible. However, the rest of his season wasn't as distinguished as Farah and Greene.

Considering Nigeria's awful track record in recent years, I imagine there will be a few worried athletes...

Re: Commonwealth Games day five

Despite all the people who aren't there, I'm still tempted to start a thread for the w800m. Judging by the heats, it is going to be a corking final. Great runs by Jackson and England today, and great to hear India get behind their big star. Like I said, it would have been an absolute cracker if it ...

Hopefully we can have Jess, Louise and Kelly (or has she given up multi-eventing, I've lost the plot on that one a bit) at full-fitness in Daegu next year.
