Re: Outdoor season 2014

Although an indoor result, Steve Lewis has vaulted 5.71 to just lose out on countback to new world record holder Renaud Lavillenie at the Drake Mall Vault meet. Maybe relinquishing the UK record this season to Luke Cutts has given him the fire in his belly to really push on this season. It should be...

Re: UK Sprint Queens

Snigger though you might, should we be discounting our national record holder? Despite what some/most people might make of that fateful(?) day in Loughborough, she has continued to be one of our top 10 female sprinters since then (check out TOPS rankings if you don't believe me). Not sure where she ...

Re: Outdoor season 2014

Yes it goes appear we are out of the doldrums of 11.3/4 and 23.3/4 female sprinters. Will the UK records of the two shorter sprints go? Asha for the 100 in 11.02, don't think the 200 will go but maybe a 22.5/6 from Onuora/Henry?!

Good start to the outdoor season by Porter.

Shame youngster Yasmin Miller seems a shade of herself. 13.92. Surely on her way back from an injury ?

Re: Outdoor season 2014

20 year old Freya Jones has thrown a PB of 55.36 in the Javelin over in the States. Hopefully she will edge towards 60 this season and drag one or two others behind her. It has been a poor event for GB over the last few years without Goldie and Laura Cunningham.

Looks like he may have moved up a distance or 2 running a few 800m and 1500m this year. Times nothing to shout about the 1.53 and 4.14 respectively.

Re: New York Half Marathon

Mo collapsed at the end of the race and was wheeled away in a wheelchair. Not sure but wouldn't have thought it had anything to do with his fall. Fingers crossed he is ok.

Re: Outdoor season 2014

Same here. Hopefully we'll see a 17m jump from him this season but who knows what form he is in.

Wonder who might fill his shoes once he does retire? Ben Williams looks promising as does Kola Adedoyin. Julian Reid? Will we see Nathan Douglas in 17m form?

Luke Cutts also had a go at 5.91 and two attempts at 5.96! No idea how close (or indeed how far away) he was to clearing those attempts btu impressive all the same!

Re: Indoor Trials 8-9 February 2014

Some really good performances from this weekend, KJT has to come top for me. It was just so impressive to see the depth we now have in some events. I think someone already mentioned we had 11 men over 5m in the PV! The same can be said for the high jump and plenty of other events. Shame Desiree Henr...
