Re: Eugene Diamond League

When the bloody hell is Elish McColgan going to learn how to take a water jump? Terrible jumping, she's losing so much time at each water jump.

Re: Outdoor season 2014

Hannah Brier, only recently turned 16 has run 11.57secs over 100m at the Welsh Champs. That is impressive!

100m final time. Can DAS go sub 11.2? Hopefully Nelson will get a little closer that she did in the heats.

Re: Gotzis

KJT doesn't need a big SP as long as her javelin is over 45 m and she gets a HJ around 188-192 as there's so much more in her 200, LJ , 100 h and 800 to come relative to Moscow 2013 I'm sorry but I disagree. 12m just isn't far enough when mixing with the very best. Kluft, Ennis, Sotherton, Barber, ...

Re: Gotzis

Wow Lake's shot it around a 1.5m PB! KJT on the other hand is no where near 13m with a foul in the final round. Disappointing, she's really going to have to pull something out of the bag in the long jump and 200m. Disagree - in her Moscow PB (6449) she only had a 11.52 SP - 12.17 today - she is wel...

Re: Gotzis

I think the hurdles is one of the events KJT will no doubt improve on and she will need to get into the 13.1/2 region to be challenging early on.

Re: GB Big Guns AWOL 2014

Through either injury, llness or pregnancy or a bit of a mystery (Bleasdale) the GB squad are missing a number of 'big guns' this season and potential medalists at a championships: Bleasdale, Pozzi, PSD, Radcliffe (?), Grabarz, Ennis-Hill, Ohuroghu (might as well be), Dai Greene (?), Idowu (returni...

Re: 2014 Multi Events

I wonder why KJT only did 1 event - thought she would have done 2 or 3. Really looking forward to the Gotzis Heptathlon. Ladyloz No idea, but her 100H of 13.44 (1059pts) was a pb up from her previous 13.48 (1053pts). A poster on another thread appeared to know that she was not completing the full h...

Re: IAAF World Relays

Such a shame that what was once an exciting event for Brits, without PSD we don't have that big hitter. Onuora doesn't seem in the 51. shape she showed last year and seems to preferring the shorter sprints.

Diamond and Massey No 1 and 2 in rankings and neither in final 4 !?!?

Re: IAAF World Relays

Ouch the womens 4x4 had a shocker.. Think Child ran an ok 1st leg but is not in 51. form this season, Cox didn't seem to run as quick as yesterday, TBO..embarrassingly bad (53.2 split and got passed by everyone, to be fair to Adeoye took it out and faded badly in home straight. Not that it would hav...

Re: IAAF World Relays

She was up against two very strong JAM and USA athletes on first leg but she was also beat by Kelly Massey last week. Brilliant run from the mens 4x4, was getting frustrated watching the BRA team keep catching on the line, but to run almost 3min flat. Would bringing Awde in get us under 3 mins? Wome...

Re: Loughborough International

Lake goes from strength to strength at a ridiculous rate of improvement. (Interestingly the three best female high jumpers in the UK are all multi-eventers....come on Isabel Pooley, you need to stamp your authority on your event!) Couldn't agree more. A while ago now I predicted that Pooley would b...

Re: Loughborough International

Alison Leonard won the 1500m match. Clock stopped at 4.08.40, a massive PB. Apparently the clock malfunctioned, and stopped a little early. Her actual time has been recorded as 4.14.61. I was watching the live stream, and the clock certainly didn't stop 6 seconds before she crossed the line :? It d...
