From other forums I gather there was a tender and a new company was successful. Both sites are good and I daresay UKA had a difficult choice to choose between them.

I was just wondering whether there were more votes for the X Factor winner than the Sports Personality of the Year. If, as I suspect, there were, isn't that a sad reflection on society today?

Anyone know the voting figures for the X Factor final?

I think it is fair comment that KR's performances in the last six months have shown a significant increase in form. Clearly what is happening is good for her running! Dave Collins probably takes the final decision as to who goes on trips, but there is no doubt that AS has a conflict of interest.

What you are saying directly contradicts much of what has been said on forums in posts made by people supporting these two coaches. I don't actually think it does, but even if it did, that doesn't make what I say incorrect. I said that the coach in question was suspended before a complaint was made...

So what you are saying is that if an athlete is over 18 it is only a welfare issue if he/she makes a complaint? If so then that's a reasonable rule but where is that stated?

I think you will find that both myself and Fangio argued that in a WELFARE ISSUE a coach should be suspended whilst investigation took place. This is clearly not the case with Mr Storey. Please explain how this is not a welfare issue? Surely it is covered by 4.2(ii) of the coaches code of conduct? ...

This week's AW (page eight) carries the news that, following the findings of an independent assessor, Peter Arnott "is now free again to apply for a licence and any application would be considered by UKA's coaching department in the normal way."

What is it about the British press? I seem to remember they weren't happy after the Moscow Mens' 800m - the headline was, I believe, "Coe's run of shame"..... rather than "Britain gets first post war 1-2"....

The latest news is that social services have concluded their investigation and have confirmed they are taking no further action. Hopefully UKA will now finally withdraw their advice to the stadium, and the Sports Partnership will lift their ban on the coach and cease their eviction proceedings again...
