Lucky for Adam. He mentions talking to his coach, looking at who Rana Reider trains is interesting.

Dafne Schippers – stagnated if not going backwards.
Gemili – always injured and struggled for the last few years since he moved to him.
Henry – Injured for the last 2 years and has struggled when she has run.
Sani Brown – not been seen this year,…[Read more]

Iwan Thomas should be worried about his record unless he does something stupid which is not unheard of!

Great PB from Ogbeta, stuttered in and looked behind the board and jumped 14.15 into a -1.6 wind!

Kristal Awuah has put on twitter that she has run 11.20 in Luxembourg.

It didn’t give the wind but she said it was a PB so I assume it is legal.

It would put her 4th on the all-time U20 list behind DAS, Lansiquot and Jodie Williams.

No Reece Prescod in the 100m anymore either, Harry A-A has taken his space.

Lynsey Sharp has taken Oskan-Clarke’s place in the 800m so that will be an interesting race against Alex Bell. No Adelle Tracey though.

Cindy Ofili has been added to the 100mH after running 13.27 in Switzerland last night, has an outside shot of running the standard at…[Read more]

6.85m (1.7) for Lorraine Ugen in the first round of the long jump. Great conditions for a PB if she nails it or even 7m.

Interesting that thus far Z Hughes has accepted his entry for the 100m but not the 200m. He may of course double up as the schedule means it is probably only 4 races as he will be excluded from the 100m pre-heat if the format is the same as last year. What it certainly means is that we could have Prescod, Edoburun, Ujah, Hughes and others going…[Read more]

It is probably a good year to be a female 200m runner at the trials as DAS has a free place at the Euros due to being the champion and that leaves 3 spaces as we are therefore allowed to have 4 runners.

I would say that any of J Williams, B Williams, Dobbin, S Hylton, Henry, Agyapong, Pipi (if she doesn’t go for the 400m) or Bruney (though she…[Read more]

11.24 (-0.4) SB for Imani Lansiquot in Regensburg.

Another Euro qualifier in the 800m is Tom Staines with a PB of 1:45.57 in Nashville.

He seems to be improving rapidly with every race, hope he can hold it together for the trials after the long college season.

I don’t have a wind reading but according to the ALTIS twitter feed Jodie Williams has run 22.77 in California, her best time since Rio.

A good day for the 200m women.

A few results from Oordegem in Belgium include:

A low key outdoor comeback for Greg Rutherford 7.86 (0.6). Very consistent series, 6 jumps with no fouls all between 7.66 and 7.86. Hope he is healthy for one last crack at the Europeans this summer as I sadly can’t see him challenging in the next few years with what some of the new breed of long…[Read more]

52.26 outdoor PB for Pipi in the states. Hopefully could get down to the low or mid 51s if the NCAA season doesn’t take too much out of her (which it did last year for the trials when she did the 200m).

    Yep, was (+2.5)

Edmond Amaning 20.43 (1.3) PB and Euro Qualifier (though it was in Clermont like MHS).

Tim Duckworth has Long Jumped 8.19m in Tennessee but there is no wind reading with the result. Still impressive for a decathlete.

Great run by Max Burgin at the BMC in the 800m in Manchester. The clock didn’t stop but looked like a time in the 1:47s which would break Sean Molloy’s U17 record of 1:48.24. He also won the race – which was the A race.

He is still only 15 – he is 16 next week!

    Time given at 1:47.50!
