    Thanks Luckyspikes

Altho they may have looked like they were dying more with the mile being 100m longer?!

Wonder if we’ll see a new BR?

Is this a new style to pacemaking for 1500m? Would we normally see something quicker for the first 800m than 2.08?

This was also my other thought.

    Also, 3.28 – 7.32 – 12.53 – 26.46 are hardly pedestrian.

I really do just wish Mo would give us ‘all out’ in a 5k and 10k…and even the 1500 to an extent!! And really look to see how close he can get to those times set by those other great athletes.

It’s a strange request almost of an athlete of Mo’s calibre, but I would love to see him go into a race not looking to win.

I really don’t think our women is at its strongest right now.

Asha seems off form from the trials and didn’t impress at all in the heats. Neita also seems off from her form at the trials – I would have had Jodie in for Neita!

Saying that..second fastest ever with 1/2 safe change overs is not too bad but they are going to have to smash the…[Read more]

Great point and not only that, there are current athletes very close to breaking the national records for the Mens 100, 200m, 400m, and Women’s 800m and Discus this year alone.

The events where we are way off national records are Womens 5,000, 10,000 (Paula = Superwoman), 400mh (former WR), Triple Jump (former WIR), and Shot. Men’s Triple Jump…[Read more]

Very interesting exchange of words between Kelly Sotherton and Katherine Merry on Twitter in regards to an interview that Katherine gave about KJT. Kelly saying it was too harsh.

He mentioned on Twitter that he wasn’t running the final so he could concentrate on 200s – but he didn’t appear on any start lists.

The depth of male and female sprinting in my opinion has never been as good. And to have the depth in male and female sprinting at the same time doesn’t always happen!!

This is exactly what I thought when I saw the race, very Bolt like! We can only hope. Very similar frame to Kemar Bailey-Cole as well.

I reckon Jess is going to drop a 12.8 this weekend – she looks in fantastic shape.

Kat really is well below par on 3 out 7 events.

Here’s a thought..is it time to ‘Do a Dafne’ and give up the heptathlon for now and concentrate on her two strongest events which she could potentially medal at both – the long jump and high jump?!?

    wow she looked so good!

    Apparently Hill cruised her heat.

Svoboda had a +2.7 behind her.

WOW!!! IMANI-LARA LANSIQUOT 11.17sec PB in the heats. Not the best reaction time too so maybe more to come!!

2nd on all time Junior list behind DAS and ahead of Jodie Williams.

Could she challenge Candace Hill and Eva Svoboda???
