Sidelined, on the Telegraph link, I’m sure its headline only, but at face value it appears she’s doing no more work on the throws than on any other event. I’m no coach, but surely you work hardest on your weaknesses? One session a week isn’t going to engrain a new technique in anything, let alone something she doesn’t have a natural aptitude for. Maybe that focus is in store for the winter.
I generally agree that it will take time to see results. But equally when things are very bad, sometimes just one small change can make a huge difference.
