Running a marathon for the first time can be a nerve-wracking experience – have I trained enough, will my nutrition plan work out and what if nature calls?!

Although steering clear of toilet talk, London 2012 marathon runner Scott Overall has given Athletics Weekly his top three tips for those making their debut over 26.2 miles.
